A logo created from the IATA code of the Madrid Barajas International Airport, “MAD.”
The system was inspired by the architecture of the terminals, which have a wave-like shape. The idea of the system comes from the architectures’ vision that the terminal could be infinitely stacked, as long as the structure was extended by adding new colors.
I developed a code that allows for easy use of the system. This includes 2 types of treatment, 4 directions and 4 color applications (based on the current terminals’ colors).
