A magazine identity that explores the intersection between water and art.
Water Works addresses both current and past topics around this relationship in four sections: A Look Back, Activism, Artist Spotlight and Current Day.
The layout design follows a grid that gives movement to the pages and connects the different spreads.
The content and imagery was obtained from actual sources, and highlights the way in which topics can be visually expressed very differently, while not breaking away from the magazine’s unified identity.
For the website of the magazine, the user is invited to scroll horizontally to toggle between issues, and vertically to explore the articles within each issue.
